Mission
Pip and Charley wants to make social/emotional learning (SEL) accessible and fun for all children and their families. We recognize a holistic approach to education that embodies mental well-being, behavioral understanding and literacy growth. The traditional storyline of Pip and Charley combined with question/answer engagement helps adults learn how to foster SEL conversations, while children learn how to better express themselves and understand others.

What is SEL?
SEL stands for social/emotional learning. Research shows that fostering strong social/emotional skills positively impacts academic performance across the disciplines. Children carry social/emotional skills with them throughout their lives to help them with self management, self-awareness, building relationships, expressing empathy and making responsible decisions.
Pip and Charley can serve as a stepping stone to expose children to the importance of developing social/emotional skills, and to show guardians/educators how to teach these skills effectively.
